The Point

Another autobiographical comic, courtesy of my excellent supporters on Patreon. These comics are very much self-therapy for me. None of my existential crises seem quite as dire once I’ve put them into comic form.

Wow, I can’t believe I drew that back in 2018, before society and the world LITERALLY collapsed around us. I was so innocent and naïve.

Pep Talk

I keep telling my friends “[this month] I’m going to recharge and reset so I can avoid burnout and come back stronger than ever” and then I keep not doing it. But I’m really going to try this month.

Nope, still not buying it.

This comic comes to you courtesy of my most wonderful supporters on Patreon.

Barren Wasteland

Hey there! Sorry for the unscheduled hiatus. August mercilessly bludgeoned me on several unexpected fronts and I haven’t quite recovered yet. Hamlet will resume shortly, but in the meantime, here are a couple comics I’ve drawn for my lovely supporters on Patreon.

Grocery Shopping

We’ll get back to A Stick-Figure Hamlet next week, I promise. I just need a little extra breathing room. In the meantime, here’s a comic you might relate to:

Shout-out to all the grocery store employees out there, especially the ones I interact with (at a distance) every week, who, despite being obviously stressed and overworked, and despite me wearing a mask, still manage to recognize me and take the the time to exchange genuine pleasantries. It makes a huge difference to me. May you all be sufficiently paid and protected.

Shout-out also to my supporters on Patreon (where this comic was originally posted), for their continued support of me during this time. Thanks to them I have been able to donate $2129.96 to charities providing relief and resources to people who have been severely impacted by COVID-19.

Pandemic Productivity Pie Chart

Hey there! Sorry there haven’t been any new comics this week. I am trying to settle into a new work-life rhythm here, but it’s taking a while, and my brain is not cooperating. Thanks for your patience.

I do want to take a moment to thank my supporters on Patreon. Thanks to their support, I’ve been able to donate $967.14 to organizations providing COVID-19 relief. I will be continuing to donate my Patreon earnings every month for the duration of this crisis. Read more here.

Self-Worth

Burnout Recovery Week continues! Despite my best efforts, this is the flowchart that my mind uses regularly:

Thanks again to my supporters on Patreon, especially those at the $5-a-month and up tiers, who are subjected to self-therapy comics like this one on a weekly basis.

A Stick-Figure Hamlet should be back next week, just in time for the run-up to the holidays!

Burnout Canyon

Hey all! So, I totally burned myself out this past week. Like, “flaming husk of a car on the side of the highway” level of burnout. I blame Rosencrantz and Guildenstern.

Hopefully I’ll get my act together and have Hamlet back up and running next week. For the moment, here’s one of the (many) comics about burnout that I’ve drawn for my noble and generous Patreon supporters, who help take some of the weight off my shoulders.

Thanks for understanding!
